Olivia's 1 year homecoming anniversary from the NICU was on August 11th. We decided to do a low-key day and then have a little dinner for her that night!
We started off the morning with bringing this girl back to bed so she could have her bottle but she was only interested in climbing :)
Then we bathed her and got her dressed for the day!
We went to IHop for a late breakfast and Olivia had her first taste of chocolate in the form of chocolate chip pancakes!!
When we got home Jeremy & Olivia took a nap
and I decorated her cake and used some of Olivia's first birthday decor to decorate the dining room!
I know I am NOT a cake decorator but I am working on it! :)
Once Jer & Olivia woke up, we went for a walk downtown and picked out Olivia's "Homecoming" gift! We were planning to get something last year but never got a chance so we "combined" the gifts! We had to special order it so once it comes I will share a picture but what I can say is Olivia is the only 1 year old I know with jewelry and we love to spoil our girl!! =)
Jeremy had to run to work for a little bit so I hung out with Olivia until our parents came and then we all just hung out!
We took Olivia and our parents up to Riverwood for steak & prime rib (and adult bevies) to celebrate and then cake back home for cake & ice cream! It was SO fun to see Olivia's reaction to chocolate cake AND chocolate ice cream!!
After cake and ice cream we got Olivia cleaned up and put her in her pjs. We hung out with our parents for a little while before they headed home.
All in all, the day was bittersweet! I believe in celebrating everyday, but days like Olivia's homecoming gave us a little something EXTRA to celebrate! IDK if we plan on making this a tradition, but this first year was DEF worth celebrating and I am glad we came together and got a chance to do that with BOTH sets of our parents!
I know Olivia had a fun day and I can't wait for her to show off her gift!! :)
What a difference a year makes!!

What a special day for your sweet family! I love that you celebrated :) And I'm so glad that Olivia is a sweet, healthy big girl! (I wanted to say baby but she's just getting so big!)
Sooo so sweet :) So happy that Olivia is healthy and perfect!!! That picture of her and Jeremy is just the sweetet, seriously!!!
