Trendy Tot Tuesday {Neutral Nursery Bedding}

Let me start off by apologizing for the lack of TTT posts! We have had every bug run through our house and of course I keep getting hit the hardest! It has been rough! I now have another lovely bug that allows me to sound like I am hacking up a lung but at least my dr said I can take Robitussin DM and tylenol for. The meds don't work great, but they are better then nothing! 

Now that I am entering my 22nd week of pregnancy, my body is in "nesting" mode. All I think about is all of the things I need to do around the house and obviously the nursery is one of them! Luckily this weekend I was able to purchase/order a few bedding items!

I am keeping the nursery VERY neutral, mostly grey & white. I really had LOVED the simplicity of the "Harper" bedding from PB kids but didn't love the price tag. Luckily, we stopped into the outlet on sat and the EXACT bumpers I had wanted were on sale for $19.99! I couldn't believe it!! 

I ended up ordering these crib sheets too, along with 2 shear white panels for the window that I want to couple with grey panels for the outside! I plan to do a whole "nursery inspiration" post! To see more ideas, you can check out my board on pinterest!

21 Weeks

(Thanksgiving 2013)

How Far Along? 21 weeks! (As of November 27th)

Size? Pomegrante

Maternity Clothes? Trying to get a way with belly bands and leggings!

Weight Gain? I'll find out on the 17th!

Gender? Jer & I are both thinking girl! 

Old Wives Tale: Morning Sickness... If you have morning sickness, then you’re said to be carrying a girl, but if you didn’t have morning sickness, then it’s a boy. Well, Wednesday I woke up at 4am to throw up (lovely I know) so this week GIRL!!

How big sis is doing? Big Girl bed is going well!  Up next is potty training! Any tips mamas?! Olivia has been EXTRA emotional lately, a LOT more tantrums! 

Sleep? Besides the nausea and getting up to pee, I have been sleeping good.

Food Cravings? ALL thanksgiving food, pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, etc! Also, can't get enough candy and brownies! Oh yikes, my waistline!! haha

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just had the night/am of being sick. Still not loving chicken.

What I Miss? WINE!! I actually was craving a COLD glass of moscato! Also REALLY hard to turn down smoked salmon! 

Symptoms? Still have heartburn, sensitive nose and then the "morning" sickness!

Mood? Happy! Excited for family, friends and shopping over the holiday weekend!

Best Moment of the Week? LOTS of movement from baby! Settling on names! Starting to pick out items for nursery!

Looking forward to: The holiday weekend! 2 days off work that I will be with Liv and Jer! :)

I meant to share this SUPER easy project earlier in the week that I did with Liv! We made one for the grandparents and then of course kept one for ourselves! :)

SUPPLIES:

Colored construction paper

Crayons

Scissors

Glue

Googly eyes

DIRECTIONS:

Pick your paper

Trace feet

Trace hands

Cut out hands & feet

Place on paper and glue

Put on googly eyes

Draw nose and mouth! :)

SUPER Easy!! :)

20 Weeks {HALF WAY!}

How Far Along? 20 weeks! (As of November 20th)

Size? Banana

Maternity Clothes? Still trying to get away with as few maternity pieces as possible, but realizing that isn't going to happen... haha The tunic in these pics is old navy maternity.

Weight Gain? At my appointment this week I was down another lb! so 4lbs

Gender? Jer says he is thinking a boy and now I am starting to think boy too

Old Wives Tale: They say, if you’re carrying a girl, then baby’s heart rate will be above 140bpm (beats per minute). A boy is said to have a heart rate under 140bpm. The last 4 appointments baby has had a 140bpm

How big sis is doing? Bed time is going MUCH better! This week we had 3 nights in a row in the big girl bed!! (fingers crossed for tonight as well!) :)

Sleep? Sleep hasn't been great this week. Between us all being sick and now I'm stressed about needing to "get ready" for baby now that we are half way I have SO much on my mind!!

Food Cravings? While I was sick just ICE COLD water and crushed ice! Now that I'm feeling better soup and the other day I made bbq turkey meatballs! haha Still loving Jimmy johns too!

Anything making you queasy or sick: no, thank goodness!

What I Miss? Well I am pretty sure I am "as big" at 20 weeks as I was when I delivered Liv at 26 weeks. I def need to invest in some sort of support cami because this growing bump is killing my back and the pressure on my belly is awful!!

Symptoms? Still have heartburn, sensitive nose and then the above about my belly!

Mood? stressed, happy and tired

Best Moment of the Week? Dr appointment, love having reassurance from dr! STRONG heartbeat and everything is ok with baby even after this horrible flu we had!!

Looking forward to: Going to visit my friend Sarah for a lunch/playdate and she is revamping my hair! (HOORAY!) Excited for a change!! :) (As you can see in the above pics she worked her magic!)

I am SO happy we are over the flu! It started with Liv, then Jer, then me! Even with the flu shot I still got it! Of course Liv handled it the best out of the 3 of us and I had it the worst! So glad to be healthy again!! 

19 Weeks

How Far Along? 19 weeks!

Size? Mango

Maternity Clothes? A mix of both! This top is maternity but still a little big (which is why it is belted!) Trying to get away with as few "maternity pieces" as possible but I KNOW I need to invest in a few pairs of maternity pants!

Weight Gain? I'll find out next week! I would guess based on my eating a couple lbs! haha

Gender? I still keep going back and forth, so 50/50. I think Jer may be leaning towards girl...

Old Wives Tale: (This tale only applies if you have had previous kids.)  If  that child’s first word was momma, you will have a girl.  If your first child’s first word was dadda, you’ll have a boy. Liv said "mama" first :)

How big sis is doing? Still very clingy to me, but I don't mind. Been getting lots of QT with my girl! Did some fun holiday crafts and been doing better with bed time routine! Talks about being a big sister and "helping!"

Sleep? sleeping MUCH better!!

Food Cravings? LOVING soup! TRYING to eat at home more so home cooking has been much yummier and healthier! Jer bought turkey deli meat so I heated that up and made a melt that I dipped in guac, the idea was good but it didn't taste as good as I had hoped! :( Also, loving sweets this week! candy, donuts, cookies (oreos), ice cream, etc.!

Anything making you queasy or sick: chicken (yes, again!)

What I Miss? Not having to pee ever 30 mins!! I have so much "pressure" that makes me feel like I have to go ALL. OF. THE. TIME!!

Symptoms? Still have bad heartburn! Also, forgot to mention last week about being SUPER stuffy in the am and nosebleeds! I forgot about the nosebleeds, my nose is SO SO sensitive!!

Mood? Happy! (and tired)

Best Moment of the Week? Jer felt the baby move for the first time this week!! :)

Looking forward to: This weekend we are going to be visiting with good friends of ours that had a baby and then visiting with family for our nieces bday! (Hopefully sneaking in some shopping too!) ;)

18 Weeks

How Far Along? 18 weeks!

Size? sweet potato

Maternity Clothes? In these pics, I am not! I started wearing the belly band I used last pregnancy for Jeans since I can't find maternity jeans I like. I've been wearing a lot of shift dresses with leggings/boots and open sweaters with longer tshirts!

Weight Gain? At my appointment this week I actually lost a lb and that was after scarfing down a jimmy johns sub (veggie of course!) so that was a shocker! Could have been the scale since it was a different dr's office, so 4-5lbs. 

Gender? I looked away during our anatomy scan but part of me says boy and part of me says girl! Good thing I have a 50/50 chance of being right! ;)

Old Wives Tale: Mayan Tale: The Mayan tale adds the mother’s age at conception and the year of conception. If the result is an even number then you’re having a girl. If the result is an odd number then a boy is on the way! (27+2013=2040)

How big sis is doing? Olivia is still a mama's girl, she always seems like she wants me and gets upset when I leave for work, which I HATE! :( I brought home ultrasound pics from my appointment and she was excited to see "her baby!" :)

Sleep? HOLY HEARTBURN!!! This week my heartburn has been out of control especially at night! Makes falling asleep hard! Also, Liv has been having more nightmares/night terrors so we have had quite a few nights up with her. Also, we are all battling bad colds so being stuffed up with a sore throat hasn't been fun...

Food Cravings? Still loving ice cold water, bacon and guac! Soup, made the BEST chicken noodle soup this week which I plan to make again this weekend! Also, veggie jimmy johns! 

Anything making you queasy or sick: nothing this week!

What I Miss? I really wanted a glass of ice cold moscato this week after a horrible day at work! Also, REALLLLLY missing smoked salmon!!

Symptoms? Just the bad heartburn! Otherwise meds have been awesome for headaches and nausea!

Mood? Happy! (and tired)

Best Moment of the Week? The anatomy scan was AMAZING!!! I feel so reassured having these high risk appointments! I got to see pretty much every inch of Baby L and it was SO SO amazing! He/she was SO cooperative too! I love seeing functioning organs and the heart! The baby also kept covering his/her face which was so cute! Already loves playing peek-a-boo like big sister! ;)

Looking forward to: Enjoying the weekend with Liv. We have no plans and I am excited about that!! Looking very forward to lots of QT!! :)
