Our FIRST Family Vacay! {Naples, Fl}

For our first family vacation we went and stayed for a week in Naples, Florida!

Our first full day we went to The Naples Zoo and then an outlet mall about 40 minutes outside of Naples.

The next day we did a pool day! Olivia LOVED the water!

The day after that we went to The Naples Pier and went to the shoppes

The day after this we did a day in Naples going to the shoppes in downtown Naples, and hung out by the pool. Jer also went golfing! The picture taken below was Olivia right before she rolled over for the first time!

On this day we went to Ft. Myers to visit some friends!

Another pool day at the condo we were staying at!

On our last day! We took some pictures outside the house before catching our plane!

Our first family vacation was AMAZING, so relaxing and fun!! This was the first time Jer and I had this much time off together since my maternity leave! It was nice to just be a family of 3 with no interruptions! :)

A year ago today...

A year ago today I excitedly and nervously walked up the stairs to my bathroom to take a pregnancy test HOPING and PRAYING it would come up positive. Even though the pregnancy was planned I still felt surprised when after MAYBE a second the test came up positive. I cried the happiest tears like I did when Jeremy proposed and on our wedding day.

In my head I had always thought about the way I would want to tell Jeremy. In the past friends and I had told stories how we would want to do it and I had read online stories. In that moment I didn't even think about it, I just jumped in my car knowing I had about an hour before Jeremy would be home from work and headed to Meijer. I bought a bouquet of flowers, pink roses and lillies (the same flowers we had at our wedding) and I bought 2 bottles of wine, one he could drink and non-alcoholic for me. :)

When I came home I put the bouquet into a vase, wrote out a special message on a card, sealed the envelope and displayed it for Jeremy for when he came home. I hid the pregnancy test so I could show him as well.

Jeremy knew I was supposed to get my period that day. (Later on he told me he knew something was up because he said I was "too happy" and had checked the bathroom for the pregnancy test but didn't see it, but was hoping that was what it was ) When he came home I told him a special delivery came for us but I had wanted to wait to open until he came home. I showed him the flowers and gave him the card. He opened it, read it and gave me the biggest smile. I went and got the test and showed it to him.

We were going to be parents, and now a year later we are! :)

Week 2 Link Up: Show Me Christmas DECORATIONS!

I had fun linking up with From Mrs. to Mama and Aly Blogs last week and decided to join for round 2! :)

This week we are showing our holiday decorations!

My hubby's family is Catholic and decorates for Christmas VERY traditional and my family is Jewish so growing up we never had a tree or did holiday decorations unless it involved a menorah and a Star of David! :)

Once we moved in together we decided that we wanted to decorate for the holidays and include both of our religions. My hubby doesn't like the traditional red and green look for christmas since that is what he grew up with. When we shopped for our decorations (obviously day after Christmas, DUH, 50-75% off!!!) We decided to go with Silver decorations with blue and white accents. Last year we added the vases with the ornaments on our "mantle" (tv stand) and the garland. This year was the first year we decorated our stair case and the first year we displayed the holiday cards we received. (idea courtesy of The Bargain Blonde!) & don't mind that we only have 2 cards and 1 of them is ours! haha This pic was taken a week ago, we have more friends now! :)

HEADING ON A JET PLANE...

HEADING ON A JET PLANE...DON'T KNOW WHEN I WILL BE BACK AGAIN...

...Well, I'll be back on the 23rd...but that's not part of the song! :) SO excited for our family vacay to Naples, FL! It is our first family vacation! (not counting when we went to Naples when I was preggers).

We got Olivia SO many cute little outfits to wear, like this one...

(Carters)

I'm so excited for Olivia to have SO many new experiences! Her first plane ride! Her first trip to the zoo! Meeting some of my besties from college! Seeing the ocean! Going in the pool! (that one is tentative! haha) & of course her FAVORITE thing to do with mommy and daddy is shop and go out to eat which we will be doing A LOT of! We are going to have SO SO SO much fun! 10 days of fun in the sun! :)

What I am looking forward to MOST is LOTS AND LOTS of QT with my two favorite people...Jeremy and Olivia, the loves of my life! :)

...oh and did I mention Olivia is wearing SIX MONTH clothes?! OMG my little baby!! So when we get back I will be packing away all of her 3 month and probably 3-6 month clothes! The fun part of a growing baby is a new wardrobe! ;)
