Guest Post: Erin {Love, Fun & Football}

Hi to all of Megan's followers & friends! I'm Erin & I blog over at Love, Fun & Football.

Obviously most of us are getting excited about all the holidays and I honestly can't believe they are already here. Somehow they definitely snuck up on me, but I'm ready to celebrate & have a lot of fun doing so.

You see, our family has some goofy traditions. I honestly don't know how or why this got started, but Christmas Eve at my Grandma's is always sure to be a riot. Every year since I can remember, someone in the family decorates crazy hats and they get distributed sometime that night. Here are just a couple of examples of a few of the older folks rockin the hats

Not long after the hats get passed out, the dancing starts. Yes- you read that correctly. A bunch of mostly 60+ year olds up dancing. We have been found guilty of dancing the electric slide, the cupid shuffle, the chicken dance, the jitterbug (my Grandma's fave to show us each year!), YMCA, limbo... you name it. If it's a cheesy dance- we've done it.

Since there aren't many little kids opening gifts at our Christmas anymore (at least for the time being!) the hats, the dancing & the occasional gag gifts definitely make the night entertaining!

So what "weird" or "unusual" things does your family to at holiday get-togethers? Please tell me we aren't the only crazy ones out there!
