Our "weekend" started on Thursday!
Thursday was our anniversary and I woke up to these beautiful flowers (that have gotten even more beautiful) and a homemade card with lots of old school pictures of us! #luckygirl
Thursday night we went out for a late dinner at our favorite sushi restaurant and also got some wine. It was perfect.
FRIDAY
Jeremy and I have been joking that we must be nesting because we are OBSESSED with cleaning/organizing our house lately. We have been trying to tackle little projects when we get the time so he just repainted our kitchen cabinets and then friday I did LOTS of laundry and friday night I spent an hour organizing the basement. I only tackled about 1/4 but it felt good to make a "dent!"
This is garbage just from 1/4 of the basement. Yes, we know we are hoarders!
SATURDAY
Saturday we had planned to get up with Olivia, get ready and head out early since we had our nieces 1st birthday party in GR. Well, the plan was thrown out the window and we ended up leaving 2 hours later then we planned.
Our new thing so we can get ready is we put a pillow in a laundry basket, put Olivia on top with toys. IDK why but she LOVES it. It all started when she was sick so we would let her play in the basket while we ran the shower really hot for her since she was so stuffy. She wouldn't sit in our lap and wanted to run around so Jeremy did this and Olivia loved it. So now we do this while we get ready in the bathroom. We can keep our eye on her and she is happy. #winwin
On our way to GR Jer and I both needed coffee BAD so we stopped at McDonalds. It wasn't bad AND they had holiday cups!
Once we got to GR we got Olivia lunch, went shopping and then headed to the birthday party! My SIL did SUCH a great job, the party was SO cute! The theme was "Cute as a button." I will post some pictures later this week! :)
Olivia didn't nap before or during the party, so it was NO surprise that she CRASHED before we even pulled out of the sub! haha
That night we visited with our friends. Jeremy hadn't seen their new, beautiful home so we stopped by first. They had their fire going and fall decor out and I just loved EVERYTHING!! After hanging out and watching the THIRD overtime during the Notre Dame game, we went to Olive Garden for dinner (One of our favorites!!) and also got this yummy dessert!!
After dinner we headed home, and called it an "early" night at 11pm haha
SUNDAY
Sunday Olivia didn't get the message that we were all supposed to get more sleep...
I didn't feel like doing anything so of course I did! I did MORE laundry, more cleaning and Olivia and I went grocery shopping. I also made a BIG dinner for Jer and I which was REALLY yummy. (I will share the EASY recipe later this week!)
The most exciting part of the weekend was Olivia and her SUPER cute pigtails!
(I was SO meant to have a girl! haha)
We ate dinner late so we watched the game and caught up on the DVR. Pretty lowkey!
How was your weekend?
