I was going to title this post "R.I.P. CHI" but didn't want to offend anyone, but indeed this is a post dedicated to my lifelong friend, my flat iron, passing. It DIED! (Insert sad face!)
I have had this flat iron since I was 14 or 15 years old, over TEN years!!! I have never had any problems with it. It always straightened my hair SO well and left my hair shiny and silky smooth!
Now I find my self in the market for a new flat iron. There are SO many brands and styles that I am having a hard time deciding! Even CHI has SO SO SO many choices!! Some not only straighten hair, they can also be used to curl! TWO tools in ONE, I would LOVE that, but again I just can't decide on a brand!
I am currently using a cheap-o flat iron from Sally's beauty and it just DOESN'T compare! I need something new STAT!!!
I see other bloggers doing reviews on their favorites and I would LOVE some input!!
What is your favorite flat iron and why?

I have a chi & love it, they really last a ridiculously long time & never notice a difference from day one til now :)
I have a SEDU. Funny you have an ad for the SEDU. My mom got this for me a couple Christmas' ago. She checked the reviews before buying and it got the Best reviews!!!
I LOVE it. I get really hot fast and does it's job. I like how it straightens and how it curls. I would recommend it to anyone!
Sorry for your 'loss'.
I will never, ever, never, ever, EVER not have a CHI! I love mine and I wouldn't leave the house if it wasn't for the magic it does on my frizzy hair! My mom uses Helen of Troy straighteners and she loves those but I will always prefer a CHI! Go get one!!!!!
I can't live without my Chi but I hear Hana is a good brand!
Wow! Your Chi lasted forever! I felt happy that mine hung around for 5 years. I'd write to Hana and see if they'll send you one of their flat irons to review. They sent me one and it's pretty sweet.
I also have a chi and have sadly gone through... hmm maybe 12. lol. Redic I know. Thanks for sharing, love. If you get a sec, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my latest. xo

I too am a curly haired girl living a straight haired world! I am chi believer but more power to you to having it last that long...mine only last 2-3 years max...guess i work mine to the bone! I once strayed from chi and what a mistake that was...i did find my last one on Rue La La so the price wasn't too bad to stomach. Good luck!
Paul Mitchell Straightener rocks...leaves hair shiny and smooth!
I use FHI (http://www.fhiheat.com/en) because it get's like, 30 degrees hotter than a CHI. I love it!
I just bought a SEDU, I had my infrashine for about 9 years and I think it's about time to get a new one!
