I CAN NOT believe I am writing about Olivia turning 18 months old! In just SIX months I will have a 2 year old!! ( and the answer is yes, the 2nd birthday party is already being planned, I actually started buying decor not long after the 1st birthday party! haha)
SIZE
Olivia is in 18m and 18-24m clothes. Size 5.5-6 shoes and size 4 diapers! Has 11 teeth, soon to be 12, currently molars are coming in!
TALKING
Saying SO many words!! Shoes, more, all done, mommy, daddy, night night, mail, ball, etc. I REALLY need to keep a list but every day Olivia surprises us with all of her words! Knows "mail song" (blues clues) and when we sing it she tries to sing along. Also, sings "Abc's" and when she hears it being played on tv or hears the song on her toys will sing along!
EATING
Olivia has 2-3 cups of milk (soy) a day. Usually 1 in the am, 1 after nap time and sometimes 1 before bed. Olivia's favorite foods are still cheese, chicken and bread. Started dipping foods and is VERY good at it! Loves dipping in ketchup and bbq sauce! Also, started using silverware this month and LOVES it! Needs a little help with forks and spoons but is very good at feeding self! Also tried pigs in a blanket and muddy buddies this month and SHOCKER loves both!! This month also has been QUITE the food thief! Anything on our plates is fair game in Olivia's mind! One nght we were eating mexican food in the living room and she kept coming up and stealing food off of our plates! The food wasn't very spicy so we let her and she enjoyed it a LOT! Still loves drinking out of our glasses and straws! I plan to get some cups that have the straws for Olivia since she loves them so much! Also, doesn't love sitting in high chair, prefers booster seat.
ACTIVITY
SUPER mobile! Climbing stairs in FULL force! Standing in bath tub. Loves opening cabinets, and drawers. Playing with tv, anything on book shelves, in baskets, etc. LOVES opening doors and touching door knobs. Can actually open some doors by herself so we ALWAYS have to make sure everything is locked! (planning on buying the child safety ones you can put at top of door!) LOVES itsy bitsy spider and patty cake and will initiate you to sing song to her by coming up to you doing hand gestures! LOVES her books! Loves pull ALL of them off her shelves and sitting while turning all of the pages. She could turn pages in her books for hours if we would let her! LOVES to dance! Anytime she hears music she will just start jumping up and down or dancing! It is SO SO cute!!
PERSONALITY
LOVES being outside and will SQUEAL when e let her walk outside with out being held! LOVES climbing stairs and squeals with delight! Thinks it is SO funny when people sneeze! Always giggles when she hears sneezing or hears "bless you" after. Is VERY sweet! LOVES giving hugs, kisses and sharing her food/drinks with you! Says "mwah" when giving kisses, especially to her stuffed animals! Fascinated by hand sanitizer, bottles or lotions, packs of wipes and clean diapers, LOVES tags, often find her hear closet playing w clothes tags or hangers! Also, favorite toy is playing with pink solo cups she found in the cupboard! haha
Olivia loves baby Einstein and Mickey Mouse club house. When ever Olivia hears the theme songs playing she shrieks with delight!
EVENTS TO REMEMBER
CMU HC
1st parade (CMU HC)
2nd Halloween
2nd world prematurity day
Natalie's 1st birthday party (Olivia's cousin)
As ALWAYS, every month with Olivia is MORE fun then the last! As I pack away clothes and toys Olivia has grown out of, my mama heart sometimes aches BUT then I remember how much we prayed for Olivia to grow when she was in the NICU! This past month has been hard for me for some reason, maybe because I am realizing Olivia is no longer a "baby" but becoming a little girl. I know Olivia will ALWAYS be my baby, but it doesn't make it any easier!
I love you with ALL of my heart princess!!
(What would an 18 Month post be without some comparison pictures!!)
(Wow, has this girl grown!!)

You write the SWEETEST posts about your little miss!! She's your baby AND your little girl. How fun is it just seeing her learn new things every day?!?! :) She gets cuter by the day too!!
packing up the clothes has got to be the most bittersweet bimonthly reminder how big they are getting!!
Hannah
I feel like I was reading about Breanna...they are so much alike!!
I am so amazed by how beautiful and healthy and perfect she is for how super preemie she was! My weird kid was born at 40 weeks and still is in 6-9 or 6-12 month clothes in everything at 18 months, and size 3/4 shoes. I def get the "mom comparison" complex sometimes even though I know she's healthy, but I hope you take this as I meant it - you did a fantastic job, mama ;) xo
