Pigs in a Blanket Recipe

These are one of my FAVORITE appetizers not only for the holidays but year round! Also, are SUPER easy to make ahead for Olivia to eat!

INGREDIENTS:

1 package Crescent Rolls
1 package hot dogs (I use turkey hotdogs)
1/2 package bacon (optional)
4 pieces of american cheese (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Cook bacon for 2-3 mins in microwave

While cooking bacon, lay out crescent rolls. Each "triangle" can be cut in half. Lay pieces out to be rolled. Also, cut each hot dog in half.

Once bacon is cooked (shouldn't be crispy but should be cooked) lay bacon on dough (whole piece of bacon), lay hotdog over bacon and roll. (as shown below)

For Olivia, instead of rolling bacon with hotdogs I used 1/2 piece of american cheese.

Repeat until all of hotdogs, bacon and dough is used!

Cook pigs in a blanket according to package directions on crescent rolls.
(Bacon should come out crispy and dough should be golden brown!)

I serve these with mustard, bbq sauce and ketchup!

ENJOY!
