20 Months

*Olivia turned 20 months on 1/23/13*

Olivia (as of monday 1/21) weighs 22 lbs 4oz and is 33 1/4"! Wearing 18-24m and 24m clothes, size 6 shoes and size 4 diapers!

We had another cold, this time NOT brought home by mama but by baby girl. :( Olivia started school (day care) this month and caught what was going around. As much as it SUCKED having a sick baby, I also LOVED all of the cuddles and down time we got together! On tuesday I came home early to take care of Olivia and she slept on me like she did when she was a newborn. I had seriously missed those cuddles SO much! I hated seeing baby girl sick but those cuddles made my heart SO SO happy! :)

Olivia is still obsessed with all her pals. She LOVES her stuffed animals and is SO cuddly with them! LOVES to give them kisses, hug them and pretend to feed them! It is SO SO sweet! 

Olivia LOVES to climb! Anything she wants to climb, she figures it out and climbs it! LOVES climbing on top of the living room ottoman and then wants to stand and dance on it. (lovely, I know!) Also loves to climb inside the ottoman in her room.

Olivia is saying SO many words. Her ALL. TIME. FAVORITE is "oh, no" (more like "oooooooh, noooooooo!") haha Little miss drama queen. Olivia can apply any situation to this phrase! She probably says it 1093837479 times a day! It is still funny and cute though. (We think she picked it up at daycare) Also says "uh-oh," "down now," "mama up," "cup milk" as well as many other things. Understands when we ask her things. If I ask her to bring her cup, pick up her blanket, etc she understands and most of the time does what I ask. When it is bed time she will also go to the stairs to go up to bed. Since she has been sick she wants us to carry her instead of climbing stairs herself. Also will pick up our phones and yell "Hiiiiiiii!" Also LOVES to say "Buh-Bye" and wave! SO darling!

LOVES to share food. ALWAYS wants to eat what we eat. This month she LOVES meat. Any kind, and she would want it! LOVED meatballs ( in pasta sauce and bbq) also LOVED alfredo pasta and soup! Also loves my cereal (Kelloggs Krave) and hummus! (I know random! ha) Doing SO well with silverware! Doing much better with spoons too. HATES having face wiped after eating.

LOVES LOVES LOVES bath time! Would play ALL day if we would let her! LOVES to splash and loves when we leave water running so she can play in it!

Still LOVES playing in her closet and with her clothes. LOVES pulling dirty clothes out of dirty clothes bag that hangs off changing table. Can unzip it to get clothes out too. Can take off shoes and socks. GREAT at helping to get dressed and undressed. Can take off sweaters and zip-ups. (kind of funny) There have been a couple times in the car Olivia has taken off shoes AND socks. (Keep in mind we have been in the negative temps a couple days this week!) She thinks it is SO SO funny! (and it kind of is!)

LOVES LOVES her princess shows! Introduced Cinderella (the original one) and She LOVES that movie! Also loves tinkerbell. TV shows: Loves Sophia the 1st, Baby Einstein, Mickey Mouse clubhouse, pirates and Doc McStuffins. It may sound like Olivia watches a lot of tv but she really doesn't. We keep the disney channel on during the day if the tv is on but she won't actually sit and watch it unless it is when she first wakes up in the am or after a nap and sometimes at night before bed we will lay on the couch "watch" shows and read her books.

I still can not believe that Olivia is 20 months old!! 4 months away from 2! Holy cow!! As always, each month is more fun than the last! This past month has definitely an emotional month! Olivia was discharged from the NICU program, transitioned into daycare and just changing SO much everyday from baby to toddler to little girl. It is CRAZY how much quicker this 2nd year has gone by than the 1st! Can time just stop?! (please?!) I am SO proud and feel so incredibly lucky to be given the gift of being Olivia's mommy.
