27.

Today I turn 27. 

Thinking about this birthday for some reason didn't make me excited. To me, just another day. Jeremy's birthday, exciting. Olivia's birthday, exciting. Mine, not so much, but why? For some reason MY birthday just doesn't seem like a big deal.

When Jer kept bringing up my birthday, ideas for plans, gifts, etc I would make up an excuse of why I he shouldn't get me anything or change the subject. 27 just doesn't seem like a big deal. I guess after 21, we all think there isn't much to look forward to.

At work yesterday I started making lists in my head (like I ALWAYS do) and starting making a list of everything Jeremy and I have accomplished so far in our life together. I started realizing that every year of my twenties we have had a great accomplishment/milestone.

At 20 I got into my major in college, and lived in my first apartment!

At 21, I had an AWESOME internship with BCBG Max Azria, lived out of state AND by myself for the first time, and Jeremy and I became engaged!

At 22 I graduated from college, got my first "big girl" job, Jeremy and I moved in together and we planned our wedding!

At 23 Jeremy and I got married, I starting working in HR (which I did for 3 years), we went on a dream vacation to the bahamas and we bought our first home!

At 24 we found out we were expecting! A dream Jeremy and I BOTH couldn't wait for since meeting in 2004!

 

At 25 we went on a dream vacation to Miami and had our precious, miracle baby Olivia.

At 26 I stopped working in HR to be home with Olivia, we started the process in building our home and a great position (where I currently work) fell in my lap so I seized the opportunity!

So now this year at 27... I look forward to moving into our new home, making memories and continuing to thank G-D for my many blessings. I hope to continue where I currently work, get another raise and continue to grow my responsibilities in my department! I hope to continue to grow our bank account and plan another dream vacation. 

SO I guess 27, for me any way, IS a big deal! I SHOULD celebrate it! IDK what our plans our (Jeremy has been VERY secretive in his planning!) but I am excited to see what he has in store! :)

To Jeremy- the best gift I was ever given was you. You make me SO unbelievably happy, you work SO hard for our family, and I am so proud of your success. Because of you, I am happy, feel safe and have the most beautiful, perfect daughter anyone could ask for! I have everything I could possibly want or need because of YOU! 

To Olivia- You make EVERY DAY more fun, more happy and I am SO grateful to call you my daughter. You are such a miracle, inspiration and forever will be my little hero! 

To Readers-To all of you who read this little 'ole blog of mine, I thank you. I may be behind in responding to comments, but just know I read EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! I am so grateful for all of you. It is amazing the friendships I have made through this blog, and I love sharing bits of our life with all of you!
