23 Months

Every month I am ALWAYS in disbelief that I am writing another post about Olivia being a month older! I can't believe my little baby will be TWO in a MONTH!! 

Olivia turned 23 months on April 23rd! She weighs 23.9 lbs Has 18 teeth (8 on bottom, 10 on top!) is wearing size 5.5-6 shoes, size 4 diapers, and is wearing 18-24m and some 24m clothes. You also got another hair cut this month! Your hair has been growing like CRAZY! Now it is even again and looks even LONGER!! You went to the THREADs fashion show again with my friend Kristen & I but unlike last year you stayed awake and LOVED it! :) You are VERY helpful when getting dressed and undressed. You can almost put your shoes on by yourself and when we ask you to get your shoes you almost always pick out the perfect pair for your outfit!

I have been joking that Olivia must already think she is 2 because I am seeing the "terrible two's" already! Olivia has not been "terrible" but things have been more difficult! The tantrums..oh my the tantrums! Sometimes I will laugh because the things Olivia gets upset about now are SO silly! Telling her no get THE reaction...you know what I am talking about! She will automatically scream, cry and throw her WHOLE body to the floor. Usually happens when out and about and in public...not usually at home OF COURSE! haha Olivia has definitely been more emotional this month...I am thinking a mix of  me working like CRAZY this past month, everything going on with the house (new and old) and she is moving to the next room at daycare (gradually). SO a LOT of changes!

You will be starting Full-time daycare 2nd week in May, Also are moving to the next level in daycare 1st week in May! You have been "visiting" your new class room and seem to like it! It is fun seeing you not be the "biggest" kid in your class! You also went on your first "school" field trip to the childrens museum! The trip was with your current class and your new class so we got to see the kids and some of the parents! You also got to ride the bus which you were scared to do at first but once we were on you LOVED!! :)

Eating can sometimes be challenging. We have had a lot of days where you will just pick at your food, other days we give you second helpings. You have also been sick the past week so that hasn't helped either, poor thing! Your favorite foods are ANY fruit especially grapes, strawberries, and bananas. You LOVE cheese and ask for it as soon as you wake up. You now go to the fridge and say "Cheese PLEASEEEEEEE" It is SO darn cute!! When you ask for milk, you say it SUPER fast! "Mik, Mik!" (no "l") haha You LOVE the chicken rice soup I make! I made that twice over the past week and I can say you ate as much of it as I did! haha You LOVE LOVE rice!! You love cucumbers and celery. You still LOVE to dip, especially veggies and wheat thins in hummus! You also LOVE guac! It is SO funny!! I love seeing you try new things! You tried an ice cream sandwich for the first time and LOVED it! You didn't love the mess it made on your hands so I gave you a spoon! haha You also LOVE when daddy and I make you waffles for breakfast!! (choc. chip) You also tried sushi for the first time this month...a cucumber roll! You mostly played with it but you did eat at least 2 pieces! :)

You are SUPER helpful, well you try to be. When I was filling your humidifier the other night you brought me the top and said "here you go!" I said thank you and you said "Your welcome!" It was SO cute!! I LOVE how polite you are!! You having been saying "pwease" and "tank you!" a LOT! I love that you understand!! When I am opening and closing doors you try to "help." When I am at the store you always want to be the one who swipes my card, if I don't let you will have a tantrum so sometimes we "pretend" you did it and when you think you did it you will yell "YAY! I DID IT!!!" haha always gets LOTS of laughs! haha You also LOVE to give high fives! After you high five someone you will yell "Yeah!" or "YAY!" You also LOVE to say "I did it!!" SO many cute phrases this month!!

You LOVE playing outside! Now that the weather (fingers crossed) has been warming up, I have been taking you to play at the school new by. You LOVE the slides! Long, short, wide, curvy...you don't care you love them all!! You def are a dare devil! haha You love sitting on my lap and going on the swings! You always yell "Weeeeee!" I just LOVE hearing the joy and fun in your cute little voice!!  You love stomping on the grass, leaves, etc. I think you like hearing different textures and feeling them under your shoes. You also love to run outside! In our yard I am constantly chasing after you because apparently your motive is to play in the street...at least that is where you try to always run to. You always throw a tantrum when I bring you inside after playing outside. You LOVE watching the bubbles outside too! You got a bubble machine last year for your birthday and MAN that entertains you for a good 10 minutes!! haha 

You still LOVE bath time! Any time we take you in the bathroom you automatically point at your bath toys. If the basket is in your reach you will just start throwing the toys in the empty tub. You love to splash, sing and just play in the water. You usually get upset when we start emptying out the tub and tell us to stop! haha We also bought you a minnie mouse potty that you are obsessed with. You love to sit on it and climb on it. We don't think you are QUITE ready but wanted you to get used to it in the bathroom and comfortable with it!

You are saying SO many words and phrases!! It is incredible! I can't keep track any more! You can definitely communicate with us! I always tell you when you are upset to use your words and most of the time you can now! We love it!! You love to "jump, jump, jump" and "hop hop hop!" you think those words are so funny to say while you are doing the action! You also LOVE to say "WOWWWWWW" & "WHOAAAAAAA!" I love your personality! You are SO funny and silly! Your laugh is contagious! I love when you make me laugh and when I make you laugh! You are a little comedian and keep daddy & I laughing ALL day!!

You are OBSESSED with minnie mouse! She has to come everywhere with us and you always ask if you can watch "minnie, minnie mouse, minnnnnnie!!" or "otoodles!" You just love her. When I started showing you stuff for your birthday and talking to you about the party you completely threw me in for a loop when you told me to change your theme to minnie mouse. SOOOOOOO that is what I intend to do! I thought it would be a couple more years until I had a "theme request" but I will make it work! After all it is YOUR party! :)

This month has been BUSY, fun and challenging but I wouldn't change ANY of it!! I love you so much my beautiful doll!! :) Every month has been more fun than the last!!
