Ava: 7 & 8 Weeks

I can NOT believe that Ava is 2 months today!! The time is FLYING by!! 

SEVEN WEEKS:

Wearing 0-3m and 3m clothes, size 1 diapers. Still HATES being naked but doesn't mind baths as long as bath water is really warm. holding head up longer and longer and started reaching for hair and clothes to pull on during nursing. 

Still loving the moby! Nursed in public for first time while at childrens museum! Mommy was very nervous but we were discreet and stayed covered which Ava didn't love. Didn't pump this week so not sure how much Ava is eating.

Sleeping a LITTLE less during day and averaging 3.5-4.5 "naps" at night.

 EIGHT WEEKS:

Celebrated mother's day! Visited daddy at work for brunch and then spent the day at home relaxing! Went to Mt. Town for dinner and then got ice cream after :) Took first family of 4 vacation to Traverse City! On vacation slept a 5-5.5 hour stretch BOTH nights! Which I appreciated!!

Again, Wearing 0-3m and 3m clothes, size 1 diapers. Head control is CRAZY! Holds head really, really well! LOVES looking around and studying peoples faces! Started cooing and smiling when we talk to her. When I kiss/rub her cheeks she will coo or try to "talk" it is THE cutest! love it so much. Realized she is ticklish on neck and belly. Still giggles in sleep sometimes too!

This week Eating def. increased! Ava LOVES to eat! Had a lot of cluster feedings, especially at night! (growth spurt!)

Liv is being much sweeter to Ava. Gets VERY concerned when she is crying or upset. LOVES to give her her pacifier and asks to hold her. Most of the time it doesn't last long, but it is baby steps! :) 

Ava is still sleeping in a cradle in our room. We started talking about moving her to her crib but I am not ready yet. It will be a while before she outgrows her cradle and I love that she is in our room and next to us. We are not against co-sleeping but we are trying to do that as little as possible this time since Liv was trying to still sleep with us before Ava was born and it was hard to get her out of our bed.

I can't believe Ava will 9 weeks old on wednesday and Liv will be THREE on friday!! Time is passing TOO quickly!! :( Loving these moments with my girls!!
