Baby L ...ROUND TWO {The Details}

Thank you all for the congratulations! The three of us are BEYOND excited to add another member to our family!

Since so many of you asked here are the "details" from the day we found out...
(Get ready for the longest story ever!)

Jeremy & I decided we wanted to wait until we were moved and settled into our current house before "trying" for baby #2. Luckily for us, the month we decided to get pregnant, is the month it happened! We were both pretty shocked it happened so quickly since it didn't happen "immediately" with Olivia.

I just KNEW I was. I could just feel SO many changes within my body. A lot of the same things that happened when we found out we were pregnant with Olivia happened again this time. The week I should have gotten my period I was just HORRIBLE! I made sure Jeremy knew about EVERY. LITTLE. THING. he did that annoyed me. (YIKES!) My skin broke out like a teenager. I had "the cramps" (implantation cramping) I was STARVING and SO SO thirsty ALL. THE. TIME! I also had a few times I felt light headed/dizzy and had HORRIBLE headaches. SO many signs! BUT I didn't want to get my hopes up, so I kept telling myself to wait to take a test.

After 3 days, I just couldn't handle it! I decided that friday I would take a test after work. Well, this also happened to be the day I ended up getting into a car accident. One of the scariest days ended up turning into one of the most memorable...

I stopped at Walgreens after work, bought a box of tests, and went and picked up Liv from daycare. Here I was SO emotional (now I know why! ha) wanting to just cuddle, kiss and love on Olivia after that horrible ordeal and all she cared about was seeing Jer. She must have asked for him like 500 times. So we went to visit Jer at work and I told him that I bought the tests. (we were both still in the mode of playing it cool and not trying to get too excited, JUST incase!)

After visiting, I order chinese food (it just sounded SO good! ...another clue!) Liv and I took it home and I must have chugged 3 huge glasses of water! Liv looked at me like I was CRAZY!

FINALLY it was time!

This time was SO much different BUT very much the same as with Olivia. I'll never forget taking the test when I found out I was pregnant with Olivia. I remember walking up the stairs to take that test felt like HOURS! ...and I'll NEVER forget how quickly those 2 pink lines appeared! I think they turned pink before the pee hit the stick! haha

This time I RAN up the stairs with Olivia. RAN! She went to her playroom and I got down to business. I gave myself a peptalk so I wouldn't be let down (again, just in case). This time taking the test the first line appeared RIGHT away, the second line SLOWLY, and I mean SLOWLY appeared. At last they were both there! TWO, BRIGHT PINK LINES!!!!! I shreiked!!!! Olivia came running in and I blurted out the news to her and she yelled "YAYYYYYYYYY!" I told her she was going to be a big sister and the rest of the night she kept saying "SEEEEESTER, SEEEESTER!" It was SO cute!

I had planned in my head how I would tell Jer but unfortunately he ended up working late and didn't get home until 11pm. I just COULDN'T wait to do my "plan" until the next day, there was NO way I would be able to sleep and NOT tell him!

SO I put Olivia in her "Big Sister" shirt before bed and kept the test close.

When Jer FINALLY got home (why does it feel like forever times 10 when you have HUGE news?!) I asked him to check on Olivia. He came out and said "You are mean putting Olivia in that long sleeve shirt!" (I had literally put it on her like an hour before he got home) I said "did you read her shirt?" He said "no!" (Side note, Olivia sleeps with her blanket over her face/body). I handed him the test and said go read her shirt!!!! He came out and was SO shocked but SO happy! It was the same smile and look when I told him we were pregnant with Olivia.

It was beautiful!

The rest of the night/weekend we talked about how we planned to tell friends and family, nursery decor, names, etc.

I had my 12 week appt on friday September 27th (I was 12 weeks on the 25th!) and everything looks perfect! Because of everything that happened with Olivia I am considered "high risk" so I have about triple the appointments this time around. It has now been confirmed twice that there is only ONE baby and as of right now Jer & I decided NOT to find out. We didn't find out with Olivia either and it was SUCH a beautiful moment!

Here is a video from my first ultrasound, I was 6 weeks along and was SHOCKED we were able to hear the heartbeat!! :)

Today I am 13 weeks so I will start my weekly "bumpdates" with a combined 12w/13w post!

Again, thank you ALL for the well wishes! We are just SO excited!! :)
