Today Olivia Adele is 14 months Old!
I've been trying to keep track each month of all that is new with our babe!
Olivia is still in size 4 diapers, 12 month and 12-18 month clothes, size 4 shoes (ALMOST in size 5 shoes) She still HATES diaper changes. It is SUCH a fight to change a diaper, it is a little redic! lol Also, Olivia is VERY clingy towards me. When we are out in public she ONLY wants me and at home 90% of the time she is on me or touching me. She can get very whiney or upset if she is not being held by me but we are trying to teach her it is ok to be without me sometimes.
Olivia is eating LOTS of table food! It is SO hilarious when she eats she always says "Mmmmm!" Still LOVES chicken, cheese, ravioli, pasta, veggies, fruit, etc.
We tried whole milk this week and I think she may be allergic. She threw up a couple times that day and that was the only new thing introduced. Poor thing. We will try again maybe in a week to see otherwise we will try something else! (suggestions?)

Olivia is MOBILE!! Olivia rolls, sits, crawls, pulls herself up and walks along the couch, table, crib, pack and play, etc. When sitting she can pivot herself and can go from sitting to crawling to standing! Olivia is also CLIMBING! On anything or anyone! Also can bend over to pick things up that she dropped or wants. Olivia sucks thumb with fingers in a fist now. Also, clapping and pounds table tops with hands all. the. time!
Olivia laughs and smiles when we laugh and smile and it is so cute!! She LOVES walks as well and being outside!! LOVES to be center of attention and entertain others! She is just such a silly, funny girl!! Olivia also LOVES music and bables to herself! (sings) Olivia is VERY interested in EVERYTHING! She is also still doing this head tilt thing that I have talked about previously and it is hilarious!

This month we got on the babylegs train and LOVE them! Great to protect Olivias legs and knees while crawling. (AND super cute!) Olivia can wear her hair in a ponytail and pigtails now! Olivia HATES wearing sunglasses and hats but loves her bows and headbands still! She LOVES brushing her teeth! She can take off her shoes and when gets them off will chew on them. (especially in the car)
Olivia has SO many toys, and is playing really well alone and with us! Olivia loves buttons, switches, anything she can shake that makes noise, etc. She is in the "throw things" phase, I tell her "I'm not your dog, I'm not playing fetch!" lol Olivia LOVES watching other kids and plays well with babies her age! This past month we joined the library and LOVE taking walks there, playing there and hope to meet other mamas and babies to have play dates with!
We still have been using our baby swing but know it is time to retire it, we are on the last leg of the strap, it is the loosest right now so not much time left in it. :( We love that thing! Olivia LOVES her walker but does need some assistance. She can push is while standing but sometimes it gets a LITTLE a head of her! haha
We are starting to teach Olivia different things like animal noises and body parts. She seems interested. She will roar when you ask what a lion does and it is hit or miss with kitty and doggy. We are working on where is your belly, we are getting close! :) Olivia has started to figure out how to unbuckle things. She loves playing with buckles in the carseat, high chair, grocery cart cover, stroller, etc. Olivia is also VERY determined and stubborn...can't figure out where she got THAT from? ;) She HATES being told no, also not sure where she got that from?
Over all this past month has been SO exciting!! We visited the NICU last week and they can not BELIEVE her progress! She really has given the textbooks a run for their money! We couldn't be more proud of our miracle baby and every accomplishment she has made!! :)
Happy 14 months baby girl, we love you!!
xoxo

She is just so cute!! As for the milk thing, I would try a coconut or almond. Soy is full of estrogen and not ideal for babies. Vince is also allergic to milk and is on pharmacy grade formula, which they also have a toddler form of, but we will also be giving unsweetend almond milk or unsweetend coconut milk. I would also talk to her ped because I know that those two forms of milk lack some things she needs in which she would just take extra vitamins. This is what we have discussed with our G.I. Dr for when Vince turns one in a month! Hope this helped
She is just too cute! So jealous that Olivia can wear piggies and ponies in her hair! Elena won't even let me keep a bow or headband on her! Such a fun age, though, isn't it??
